Job Details
- Position Description: Care for antepartum patients, assist with deliveries including c-sections, attend to newborns in initial assessments, adhering to AWHONN standards.
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Must have BLS certification, RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM); current NRP certification; and current ACLS certification. No minimum years of experience required.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: No floating required; care involves a nurse to patient ratio of 1:1 on Pitocin for induction or augmentation, 1:2 cervical ripening, 1:2-3 antepartum depending on acuity, 1:2-3 triage, and 1:1 immediately postpartum (mother and baby).
