Labor and Delivery Nurse in the en_US located in the labor and delivery specialty. This position involves providing comprehensive care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including attending to deliveries, circulating Cesarean sections, and initial newborn assessments. The role requires independent practice within a clinical setting, adhering to standards for patient safety and quality care.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Provides routine and complex nursing care for patients on the labor and delivery unit, including antepartum, delivery, postpartum, and newborn assessments, following clinical protocols and standards.
  • Certifications and Education Requirements: BLS certification required; RN license in state of employment or compact; current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Instructors, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM); current NRP and ACLS certifications required.
  • Experience: 0 years minimum experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
  • Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week.
  • Position Responsibilities: Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects, document patient information, assess learning needs, and educate patients and families.
  • Additional Information: All newly hired experienced registered nurses must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire, with initial competency validation and completion of all annual requirements. Work schedule starts on 09/21/2026, ending on 12/19/2026.
