• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

• Setting: High-volume obstetrical and maternity care environment

Job Requirements

• Current C-EFM NCC certification required at time of submittal
• Active BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• ACLS preferred
• 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required within the last 7 years
• At least 1 completed travel nurse assignment required
• Cerner experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Mother/baby experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a supportive, high-acuity obstetrical setting

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetrical patients
• Monitor fetal status and respond quickly to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, high-risk deliveries, and recovery support
• Care for patients with hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes, and limited prenatal care
• Support antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including patient education and emotional support
• Float to mother/baby when qualified and assist as scrub backup when needed
• Perform triage, newborn assessments, and appropriate clinical interventions in a team-based environment
• Document accurately in the Cerner charting system while maintaining safe, compassionate care standards
