Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Nurse is based in Pella, Iowa, and will be responsible for supporting the healthcare team by providing safe, evidence-based care to patients in the obstetric specialty. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, demonstrating accountability, and ensuring optimal care for a diverse patient population including neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The nurse will perform general nursing duties with critical thinking skills, supervise support staff, and promote continuity of care in a fast-paced environment.

  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited RN program; BSN preferred. Current registration and licensure as an RN in the State of Iowa. Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required, with certification within three months of hire. Current ACLS certification. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Nursing experience in an acute care or labor and delivery setting. Strong communication and teamwork skills, empathetic listening, tact, and kindness. Basic computer skills, sound nursing judgment, and knowledge of acute care nursing practices.
