Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves working in a high-acuity, high-volume Labor and Delivery Department supporting both obstetric and neonatal care. Candidates will be responsible for providing skilled nursing services during delivery and continuing postpartum care, with a focus on high risk and fast-paced environments.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 04/05/2027. Minimum hours per week are 36.
  • Required Qualifications: 3 years of experience in high acuity obstetric and neonatal environments, current license with a compact license in hand at submission, Proof of current Nursys certification, and at least one year of recent experience.
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred, AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred.
  • Skills: Assist with high risk delivery; provide neonatal care including eyes, thighs, assessment, and injections; perform postpartum assessments; support high risk and high volume deliveries; manage infectious and emergency procedures such as magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin management, and fetal monitoring.
  • Float: Float to sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby units as needed; may float to other related units including antepartum or postpartum.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must circulate for C-sections, provide immediate newborn care, and be proficient in electronic fetal monitoring following EPIC and AWHONN guidelines. Experience with high risk, high volume Labor and Delivery environments, and ability to work in fast-paced, high acuity settings are essential. Candidates are expected to work every other weekend, holidays, and follow unit-specific policies.
