Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift Location unspecified. This 13-week contractual position involves working rotating weekends from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The role requires providing care for obstetric patients in a high-volume environment, utilizing intermediate fetal monitoring and advanced procedures, with no-call requirements.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active RN license, at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE, and competency in intermediate fetal monitoring and C-Section circulation.
- Preferred Qualifications: Internal monitor placement competency, previous employment within a high-volume Level IV unit, and experience with typical procedures such as SVD (Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery), cerclages, TOLAC (Trial of Labor After Cesarean), and C-Sections.
- Additional Information: The unit comprises 8 beds staffed by 25 team members, including 1 charge nurse and 2-3 RNs per shift. Candidates should be team players with a positive attitude and adhere to dress codes (solid navy blue, black, or grey sweatshirts; scrub color). Familiarity with unit policies and attendance policies is essential.
