Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position in a short-term acute care facility located in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves providing specialized obstetric patient care within a dynamic and high-risk environment. The position requires flexibility for rotating shifts, including days and nights, with responsibilities spanning antepartum, labor, and postpartum care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license with at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; Certifications including AWHONN Intermediate (American Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); experience with high-risk obstetrics, sterile speculum exams, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, fetal monitoring, and handling obstetric emergencies; proficiency with Epic charting system.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level III NICU, on-call availability, and ability to float between units based on skill set.
  • Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Travelers may be required to float to different units and facilities within the region, including Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, and Antepartum units. The facility emphasizes flexibility regarding floating and scheduling, including holiday coverage. Candidates should be prepared for 12-hour shift rotations starting at various hours, and a proper vehicle is necessary for commuting.
