- Weekend Coverage: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week timeframe
- Setting: Level II maternal facility with Level II NICU support
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required in hand at submission
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience or related obstetric RN experience
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, and AWHONN Beginner
- Experience with fetal monitoring, antepartum care, postpartum care, and cesarean recovery
- Allscripts charting experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Ability to complete required lab items within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Compliance documents due before start; timely submission is essential
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for patients in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum settings
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Support antepartum monitoring, NSTs, induction/augmentation of labor, and recovery care
- Manage common obstetric medications, IV therapy, and pain management protocols
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the birth experience
- Collaborate closely with the care team to promote excellent outcomes for mothers and newborns
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit standards for patient safety and quality care
