Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department. The role requires handling admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries, including vaginal and cesarean sections, with a focus on women of childbearing age and pregnant patients at 17 weeks gestation or more.
Job Details
- Position Description: Must live at least 50 miles away. Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state/district; 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience; BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; Intermediate electronic fetal monitoring from AWHONN; Cerner experience.
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The activity on the unit includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and cesarean). Common equipment includes fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink documentation.
