Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Farmington, New Mexico. This position involves providing specialized nursing care within a level III trauma center that serves the Four Corners region. The role requires delivering quality patient care for adult to geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on cardiology and intermediate care services.

  • Location: Farmington, New Mexico
  • Shift Schedule: Night shift (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association; Associate Degree in Nursing or higher; State RN license; 1 year of experience, with a preference for 2 years in intermediate care or cardiology
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in intensive or cardiac care units; familiarity with cardiology patient management and telemetry monitoring
  • Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, NonSTEMI, stroke, post-catheterization, and ETOH-related conditions; operate standard cardiology monitoring equipment including telemetry systems and IV pumps; handle patients with active titrating drips in the intermediate care setting
  • Additional Information: Floating to other units such as PCU, Medical, Surgical, and Nephrology may be required to ensure optimal staffing levels and patient coverage.
  • Submission Requirements: Resume and Submission Form, Skills Checklist, screening questions, and Cardiology Traveler RN Competency Assessment are required for application.
