Travel RN Job Details

- Hours: 36 hours per week, typically three 12-hour shifts
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
Labor and Delivery RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in North Carolina
- At least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience
- Experience in a Level II maternity or hospital setting preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
- Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment
Labor and Delivery Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods
- Attend deliveries and support safe, compassionate care for birthing patients and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly according to clinical protocols
- Assist with newborn resuscitation and collaborate with the care team during emergent situations
- Provide couplet care and educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge planning
- Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, responses to care, and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
