• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights

• Schedule: Nights, every other weekend, and every other holiday

• Unit Focus: Women's health, labor support, postpartum care, and neonatal family-centered care

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of assignment or compact eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• Recent OB, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• BLS preferred upon hire and required prior to direct patient care; ACLS may be accepted in lieu of BLS
• NRP required within 3 months of hire
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification preferred if interpreting fetal monitoring
• Inpatient OB and Maternal Newborn Nursing certifications preferred
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt in a high-acuity, team-based environment
• EKG exam required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Perform ongoing maternal and fetal assessments and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications safely and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Circulate and recover C-sections; scrub experience is a bonus but not required
• Support triage, cervical ripening, pitocin inductions, antepartum care, and unmedicated labor patients
• Monitor fetal tracings and collaborate with providers to promote safe outcomes
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, breastfeeding, discharge planning, and newborn care
• Float between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby as needed
• Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered care environment
• Participate in quality improvement and uphold professional nursing standards
