Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required
• Experience in both L&D and NICU required for floating
• BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Strong background in postpartum care, newborn care, and antepartum care
• Ability to work 1–2 weekends per month
• Comfortable caring for a diverse urban patient population

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience
• Support antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care needs
• Monitor patients and respond to changing clinical conditions with confidence and professionalism
• Perform fetal monitoring and collaborate with providers on patient care plans
• Float between L&D and NICU as needed
• Deliver patient education and emotional support to promote safe, positive birth experiences
• Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
