Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Not specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care within the labor and delivery department, with responsibilities including high-risk obstetrics, postpartum, and antepartum care. The position requires flexibility to float between units and facilities, with scheduled shifts primarily during nights.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, starting at either 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. or 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The shifts will be primarily on days or nights, with at least one-week notice provided for schedule changes.
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), at least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, and current certifications including AWHONN Intermediate*, BLS, and NRP. Experience with high-risk obstetrics, postpartum, and antepartum care is required. Proficiency in using Epic charting system, and ability to float to postpartum and high-risk antepartum units is essential.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level III Neonatal Intensive Care unit (NICU), electronic fetal monitoring, and high-risk delivery assistance are preferred.
- Additional Information: The role involves float responsibilities across multiple units and facilities, including providing care for women in labor, postpartum, and antepartum, and utilizing specialized equipment such as fetal monitors and infusion pumps. Candidates must have a vehicle for assignments, and be available to work scheduled holidays with some RTO requests considered upfront.
