Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Morristown, New Jersey.
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit with a high patient census in a large hospital facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
Provide nursing care for high-risk pregnancies and recognize potential maternal or fetal complications.
Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine contractions and respond promptly to emergencies.
Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety standards.
Collaborate effectively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.
Follow infection control procedures, patient identification protocols, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Previous experience managing high-risk pregnancies in a large hospital setting.
Ability to manage a high patient census and respond effectively to obstetric emergencies.
Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, documentation, and communication skills.
Willingness to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Med Ninjas Job ID #19993. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
