Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse for a position located in Dallas, TX. This role involves providing high-risk obstetrical care in a high-volume, high-acuity environment, primarily focusing on patient safety and comfort during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Travel RN - Labor and Delivery (L&D) with experience in high-risk obstetrics, circulating in cesarean sections, and recovering high acuity patients in a labor and delivery unit.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum of 2 years of high-risk obstetrical experience, experience with high-risk OB patients, certification in AWHONN fetal monitoring, and relevant clinical training.
  • Schedule: 3-12 hour night shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a high-risk obstetrical department with patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1, equipped with GE fetal monitors and Meditech documentation system. Floating to antepartum unit may be required as needed.
  • Certifications and Skills: Candidates must have the required certifications, including AWHONN fetal monitoring, and experience with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, and postpartum recovery.
  • Dress Code: Appropriate scrubs; nails should be clean with no artificial enhancements, hair tied back if shoulder-length, tattoos covered if possible, and visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
  • Shift Details: Night shift, 12 hours, with availability for weekend shifts and rotation as discussed.
