Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in Smyrna, TN. This role involves providing high-quality care to laboring patients in a dedicated Womens Services unit, supporting patient preferences, and promoting positive birth experiences. The position requires collaboration with a skilled team including midwives, CRNA, and OB on call, to ensure safety and comfort for both mother and baby.

Job Details

  • Certifications: RN, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  • Education Requirements: RN license, current state licensure.
  • Location Requirements: Must be able to work in Smyrna, TN.
  • Years of Experience: 1 year.
  • Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active RN license, ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications, at least 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery.
  • Additional Information: Support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities; experience with procedures such as circulating in OR, intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), fetal scalp electrode (FSE), magnesium sulfate (MgSO?), postpartum hemorrhage management, and use of JADA documentation system.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Spinning babies, STABLE, and fetal monitoring skills.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to start on or before 10/26/2026 and work through 01/25/2027, with a minimum commitment of one year.
