Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in a short-term acute care facility. The role involves providing comprehensive obstetric care, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery services. The RN will float between units as needed, perform specialized procedures, and adhere to patient ratios outlined by the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). The shift schedule is nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (must have a compact license if applicable), at least 2 years of professional experience including Labor and Delivery (L&D) nursing, experience with obstetric patient care and specialized skills such as Cesarean Section, sterile vaginal exams, fetal monitoring (external and internal), triage of obstetrical patients, and recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns. Certifications required include AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate, BLS, NRP, and STABLE.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in community hospitals or similar settings, familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between units based on needs.
  • Additional Information:
    • Candidates are expected to work three of the five holidays specified during contract.
    • Must have at least one year of experience in the field.
    • Candidates must respond to screening questions regarding prior experience at similar facilities.
    • References covering one year (or six months for CNAs) are required prior to start.
    • Candidates are responsible for ensuring compliance with facility policies including background checks and immunizations as specified.
    • The assignment requires compliance with post submittal RTO and scheduling requests as specified.
