Job Summary:
Lactation and Postpartum Nursing (L&D PP) Post Partum Floor in an acute care setting. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns, supporting postpartum recovery, and educating patients about postpartum and breastfeeding care. The position requires a dedicated healthcare professional committed to patient-centered support during the postpartum period, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Registered Nurse License (RN); recent postpartum or mother-baby unit experience preferred; 0 years minimum experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience; caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post delivery; Stable Certification (STABLE).
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include assisting with postpartum and newborn care, routine procedures such as circumcisions, and supporting patient education. The nurse will adhere to unit policies and guidelines and collaborate as part of a team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
