Job Details
- Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Labor and Delivery (L&D) Specialty
- Location: Ottumwa, IA
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a weekly guarantee of 36 hours or 48 hours
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Iowa state licensure, NRP certification, BLS certification, STABLE certification, AWHONN fetal monitoring certification, 1-2 years of previous experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, criminal background check (Iowa SING BG), mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult), drug screening via 10-panel test including opiates, titers within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for female post-operative patients, familiarity with labor and postpartum care, strong interpersonal skills suitable for a dynamic clinical environment
- Additional Information:
- May care for female postpartum patients and infants
- Use of GE Centricity fetal monitoring equipment
- Electronic health record system: Meditech
- Voluntary call is available but not required
- Unit has 6 beds with a patient ratio of 1:3
