Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Charlottesville, Virginia
Travel to Charlottesville, VA for a 13-week Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse assignment in a high-acuity obstetric unit with strong interdisciplinary support, Epic charting, and a collaborative patient-centered culture.

- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890

- Setting: Labor & Delivery unit
- Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday
- Orientation: 36 hours total
- Floating: May float to Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower care within scope of practice
- Charting System: Epic experience required
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending licenses accepted with required timeline
- BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, and AWHONN Intermediate required
- ACLS required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patients strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume women’s health setting
- BSN preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and obstetric patients
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with other obstetric procedures as needed
- Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in maternal or fetal condition
- Care for high-risk pregnancies, including patients with diabetes, hypertension, preeclampsia, and preterm labor
- Support triage, OB PACU, cerclage, fetal transfusion, and tubal ligation workflows
- Assist with newborn stabilization and newborn assessments
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Float as needed to Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower care within scope
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow established unit protocols and safety standards
