This role involves managing patients with complex conditions such as postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium therapy, and substance withdrawal, utilizing EPIC electronic health record systems.

Job Details

  • Position Description: Labor and Delivery Department nurse in a high-volume, high census facility with a focus on high-risk obstetric patients, postpartum care, and delivery management.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), at least 2 years of experience in high-acuity postpartum or labor and delivery settings, along with EPIC experience.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum care, and being comfortable managing a census surge where management of a 4th couplet may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates should have experience in high-risk obstetrics, including postpartum, magnesium therapy, Pitocin, Foley management, postpartum hemorrhage, and substance withdrawal. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities during the assignment.
