Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing specialized care for labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients in a healthcare facility setting. The role requires a skilled professional capable of managing high-risk and routine obstetric cases, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
Job Details
- Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, OK state license (preferred ACLS, STABLE)
- Education Requirements: Valid Oklahoma RN license
- Years of Experience: 2 years preferred, 0 years required; minimum experience: 0 years
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities include administration of blood and blood products, management of adult cardiac arrest, assisting with high-risk deliveries, sterile speculum exams, labor and delivery procedures, postpartum care, and neonatal assessments.
- Skills required include knowledge of obstetric and neonatal protocols, use of electronic fetal monitoring, and handling high-risk pregnancies.
- Additional job details include a patient census of 10 per day, staffing with interdisciplinary support, and expectations to float within scope as needed.
- Submission requires a valid Oklahoma RN license, and candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
