- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680-$1,770
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Epic experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, FHM, and NRP certifications required
- Experience with high-risk obstetric care preferred
- Ability to work variable scheduling, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Must be comfortable caring for patients across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and OB emergency scenarios
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients in Labor & Delivery
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care
- Monitor fetal status using external and internal fetal monitoring techniques
- Support high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Respond to obstetrical emergencies and changes in patient condition with urgency and accuracy
- Perform and assist with procedures such as sterile vaginal exams, IV starts, infusion management, and cord blood collection
- Administer medications and therapies commonly used in obstetric nursing, including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory services, pharmacy, interpretation services, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
- Promote a calm, family-centered environment while supporting mothers and newborns through delivery and recovery
