Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in an acute care facility. This position involves providing high-risk obstetric care with a focus on postpartum treatment following delivery. The role requires handling diverse patient populations and high census volumes, including managing obstetric emergencies.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Compact license, BLS certification, NRP certification, at least 2 years of high-acuity obstetric experience including postpartum, postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Foley management, and EPIC electronic health record experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: JADA experience, substance withdrawal, and familiarity with postpartum care for multiple newborns (4 couplets).
  • Responsibilities include providing maternal care for high-risk obstetric patients, managing postpartum hemorrhage, administering medications such as Magnesium sulfate and Pitocin, and utilizing EPIC for charting.
  • Candidates must be able to handle a census surge and be flexible to float between nearby sister facilities if needed.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates should respond to prior work experience at Providence facilities and provide two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
