Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Irving, Texas. The role involves providing specialized care in the Labor and Delivery Department within a hospital setting. This assignment offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health, supporting both antepartum and postpartum patients on a scheduled night shift.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/10/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Valid active Texas RN license; NRP certification; BLS certification; minimum of 2 years of hospital experience; experience caring for high-risk antepartum patients, postpartum recoveries, and newborn nursery; strong documentation skills using Meditech system
  • Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Fetal Monitoring (FM) knowledge; RNC-OB certification; additional Meditech experience
  • Shift Details: Night shift from 7 PM, 13-week assignment, with every other weekend and call responsibilities as discussed during the interview
  • Procedures performed on unit: IV placement
  • Patient Experience Required: Antepartum care, newborn nursery care
  • Dress Code:
    • Scrub Color: Royal Blue
    • Nail Policy: Clean, healthy, no artificial nails, gel, or enhancements
    • Hair: Neat, cleaned, pulled back if shoulder length or longer during work shifts
    • Tattoos: Body art should be covered whenever possible
    • Piercings: Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
  • Floating Policy: As needed
  • Attendance Policy: The organization-wide attendance policy will be followed
