Job Summary:
Lactation and Postpartum Nurse (L&D PP) on the Post Partum Floor is a valuable healthcare role located in a medical facility environment. This position involves providing specialized care to postpartum and lactation clients, supporting mothers during their recovery and breastfeeding process. The role requires a dedicated professional with a positive attitude, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; Certifications include Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS); experience in Mother/Baby nursing is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: NICU/postpartum experience is considered a plus.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit includes approximately 70 beds with a staffing of around 120 personnel. Typical procedures involve Mother/Baby care, Lactation Consultation (LC) support, phototherapy, blood sugar checks, and IV antibiotics. The environment emphasizes a positive attitude, flexibility, and teamwork. The shift requires working 3-4 weekend shifts per schedule; no on-call is required.
