Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care within an Interventional Radiology setting, including pre- and post-procedure coverage in the Radiology Pre/Post Unit (RPPU) as needed
- Manage an average of 16 cases per day across three IR roomsli>Administer and monitor conscious sedation and telemetry throughout procedures, including stroke-related IR interventions
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including evening, weekend, and occasional holiday call coverage; must be available to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes when called
- Complete unit orientation including hospital orientation during the first week; availability required for all scheduled orientation classes
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR systems
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license – NC state or Compact license required
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Demonstrated experience with conscious sedation and telemetry monitoring
- Working knowledge of IR procedures, including stroke interventions
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification
- Experience circulating in a procedural or surgical environment
- Ventilator management experience
