Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care in the Interventional Radiology department, with rotating days split between the general Radiology unit and the IR suite
Perform patient preparation, procedural support, and post-procedure recovery for a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
Administer and monitor moderate/conscious sedation during IR procedures
Establish and manage IV access for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures
Collaborate closely with Interventional Radiologists and Technologists in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
Current and valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS and BLS certifications
Minimum of 3 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
Minimum of 1 year of Critical Care experience (ICU or Emergency Department)
Demonstrated proficiency in moderate sedation and IV access
Experience with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures setting
Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage diverse and complex clinical cases
