Contract | Days | Onsite | Rotating call required Monday–Friday 4:30 PM–7:30 AM and Saturday–Sunday 7:00 AM–7:00 AM, including holidays, for interventional radiology and CT procedures
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general head-to-toe patient assessments, recognizing and responding to complications as they arise
- Administer and monitor procedural sedation for invasive and non-invasive procedures including port placements/removals, tunneled and non-tunneled line placements/removals, CT biopsies, chest tube placements, CT-guided drain placements, IVC filter placements/removals, nephrostomy tubes, and neurovascular intervention for stroke
- Support non-invasive procedures including sedation for MRIs, port access/deaccess, and MRI defibrillator/cardiac device monitoring
- Understand and implement radiation safety measures in applicable clinical situations
- Explain procedures to patients and family members, address concerns, and communicate patient needs to radiologists and other team members
- Circulate for OR/procedural cases and manage vascular access devices including IV insertion, PICC/central line management, and vascular device access and care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state eligibility
- Proficiency in IV insertion, PICC/central line management, and vascular device access and care
- Competency in telemetry interpretation and cardioversion/defibrillation
- Demonstrated procedural sedation skills
- Ability to circulate for procedural/OR cases
- Ability to make critical decisions quickly, adapt to new environments, and manage multiple responsibilities across departments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2+ years of neuro experience strongly preferred
- Experience with CVP monitoring
- Sheath removal experience
- Familiarity with chemo embolizations and uterine artery embolizations
