Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Nurse, located in the healthcare provider setting, specializing in the care of patients requiring interventional radiology procedures. The registered nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, coordinating procedures, and supporting patient recovery processes in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Certifications & Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; Current New York State RN License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
- Experience: Six (6) months to three (3) years of nursing experience; up to three (3) years of management experience; preferred five (5) or more years of direct clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
- Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures; educating patients and families; administering medications safely; ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and regulatory requirements; participating in quality improvement initiatives; supporting professional development; utilizing current evidence-based practices; and fostering a supportive learning environment for new staff and students.
- Knowledge of pharmacology, clinical judgment, safety, and risk management is essential.
