Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• Telemetry experience required
• At least 1 year of recent interventional radiology nursing experience required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented procedural setting

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures and support safe, efficient workflow throughout the day
• Monitor patients intra-procedure and assist with post-procedure recovery
• Support PACU and extended stay recovery needs, including 23-hour observation care
• Participate in care for image-guided procedures such as biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, and drain placements
• Contribute to the trauma embolization response team when needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, radiology staff, and a multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Follow infection prevention practices and procedural-area safety standards
