Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Cath Lab procedures to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cardiology and interventional radiology, ensuring high-quality patient care during complex procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab settings.
• Scrub and circulate during procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Respond to STEMI calls and participate in emergency and urgent procedures.
• Work collaboratively with medical staff to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in on-call rotation, providing coverage for after-hours procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and assist with patient education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH.
• Skills in IV start, triage, conscious sedation, and familiarity with various special equipment are preferred.

Shift Details

Shifts are scheduled from 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The unit requires a commitment to provide procedure coverage, with a call requirement that includes evenings and weekends.

Patient Care Focus

The interventional department is focused on a variety of procedures, including invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular, and electrophysiology device implants. The workload is primarily composed of IR procedures, comprising approximately 85% of the unit's focus.

Additional Information

• Unit orientation includes a 16-hour session to familiarize the new hires with protocols and procedures.
• All staff will share responsibilities in a weekly rotation for procedural coverage.
• Scrubs are provided for all staff members.
