Job Title: Interventional Radiology RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 08:00 - 16:30 Experience: Minimum 5 years; critical care experience preferred License: Current RN License, Arizona RN License (or compact state license if applicable) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Critical Care (ICU, ED, PACU, or equivalent) experience Conscious/Moderate Sedation administration and monitoring Interventional Radiology nursing experience Strong IV access and patient assessment skills Emergency response and critical thinking skills Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows Description: Join a growing Interventional Radiology program with expanding procedural capabilities. The RN will provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure patient care. Experience with moderate/conscious sedation is required. Candidates must be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with physicians, technologists, and support staff. This role includes the opportunity to assist with the development of new interventional service lines and advanced procedures. The unit has 5 beds and a patient ratio of 1:4. Equipment used includes monitoring systems, power injectors, ultrasound guidance equipment, and sedation equipment. The electronic health record system is Cerner. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork skills. Calmness under pressure and an ability to respond to emergencies is essential. This position requires a patient-focused approach with an excellent bedside manner. A positive attitude and willingness to help build an expanding program are necessary. Graduates of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) are required, while a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Moderate Sedation Certification/Competency is also necessary. The dress code consists of scrubs in any color, while acrylic nails and hats are not allowed.
