Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Current and valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Trauma Level I experience preferred - Community hospital experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Interventional Radiology department. This position requires the ability to float between two Interventional Radiology rooms, CT, and Ultrasounds. Moderate sedation needs are a part of this role. Candidates must be comfortable with duties related to moderate sedation and direct patient care for procedural needs. Staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The RN will monitor vital signs and respond to emergent situations as they arise. Experience in endovascular procedures and angiography is preferred. The RN will also manage patient flow and support the needs of both adolescents and geriatrics. Knowledge in procedural sedation administration and monitoring is essential. The RN will oversee the preparation and administration of medications during procedures. Strong communication and teamwork skills are necessary for success in this role. Candidates should possess a commitment to infection prevention protocols and patient safety. All applicants must be ready to adhere to compliance and onboarding requirements as designated.
