Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care / Step-Down unit setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring a higher level of care than general medical-surgical but below intensive care
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Prior experience in a PCU, IMC, or Step-Down unit
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
