    Contract | 13-Week Assignment | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Onsite | 48-Hour Guaranteed Hours Option Available (Overtime After 48 Hours)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
    • Administer medications safely and in accordance with state practice standards and facility policies, including IV push medications and select drip titrations (Cardizem, heparin, amiodarone).
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments, including communication with family members and caregivers.
    • Manage patients presenting with cardiac, surgical, and respiratory illness, including post-op drains and wound vacs; participate in Tikosyn loading protocols.
    • Advocate for patient safety by actively participating in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and collaborating with palliative, spiritual, and ethics teams as needed.
    • Perform primary assessments and delegate appropriately within a team nursing model that may include LPNs and PCAs.
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license in the state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an approved source required prior to direct patient care.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
    • NIH Stroke Certification required.
    • Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available upon request).
    • Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; acute care hospital setting experience required.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CCRN or PCCN certification preferred.
    • Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.
    • Completion of a Critical Care Course preferred.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
