    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
    • Manage high-acuity patients including those on stable/weaning ventilators and tracheostomies, sepsis, trauma, TBI, spinal cord injury, stroke, GI bleed, and alcohol detox
    • Monitor and manage patients on heavy telemetry, insulin drips, chest tubes, and colostomy/ileostomy care
    • Float to other inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity areas
    • Adhere to every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling requirements
    • Maintain compliance with all facility health and safety policies, including applicable masking requirements during flu season
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience (firm requirement)
    • Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
    • Ventilator and tracheostomy experience required
    • At least one prior travel nursing assignment required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • ICU experience preferred
    • Trauma Level II experience preferred
    • Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
