Job Title
Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)
Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
Manage high-acuity patients including those on stable/weaning ventilators and tracheostomies, sepsis, trauma, TBI, spinal cord injury, stroke, GI bleed, and alcohol detox
Monitor and manage patients on heavy telemetry, insulin drips, chest tubes, and colostomy/ileostomy care
Float to other inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity areas
Adhere to every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling requirements
Maintain compliance with all facility health and safety policies, including applicable masking requirements during flu season
Required Qualifications
Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC
Minimum 2 years of RN experience (firm requirement)
Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
Ventilator and tracheostomy experience required
At least one prior travel nursing assignment required
Preferred Experience / Skills
ICU experience preferred
Trauma Level II experience preferred
Experience with EPIC electronic health records preferred
