    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

    Location

    Utica, NY | Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Floating required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide intermediate care nursing for adult patients (18+) across a 64-bed unit, including 15 designated Neuro beds
    • Manage patients presenting with common diagnoses including Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory (COPD), DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV Stepdown, and post-operative conditions
    • Operate and monitor specialty equipment including temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo systems
    • Support care of chronic ventilator-dependent patients in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy
    • Float to other units as required based on staffing needs
    • Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active New York State RN License (verified and in good standing)
    • Current AHA BLS certification required
    • Current ACLS certification required
    • Current NIHSS certification required
    • Minimum 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU setting
    • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
    • Local candidates are welcome to apply
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience in an IMCU or PCU setting
    • Experience managing ventilator-dependent patients
    • Familiarity with Neuro, Cardiac, and Trauma patient populations
    • Comfort with specialty equipment such as arterial lines, chest tubes, and BiPAP
