RN – Step Down (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Days (0700–1930) | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Step Down/IMC/PCU setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Document patient assessments, care provided, and clinical outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of California
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Step Down, IMC, or PCU setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
- Familiarity with acute care protocols and high-acuity patient management
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced environment
