    Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

    Contract | Travel | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 13-Week Assignment

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide progressive care nursing for a diverse patient population including post-operative surgical, orthopedic (spine, joint), and gynecological patients
    • Monitor and care for post-cath lab patients including post-PCI, post-pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion, and re-vascularization procedures
    • Manage patients presenting with stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
    • Administer and monitor cardiac drips at set rates, including titrating heparin drips
    • Utilize telemetry monitoring equipment and document care using the facility EMR system
    • Collaborate with charge nurses, fellow RNs, and patient care technicians in a team-oriented environment maintaining a 5:1 patient ratio
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
    • Minimum 1 year of current hospital PCU experience
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Cardiac nursing experience
    • Prior experience with Meditech EMR
    • Friendly, outgoing personality with a strong teamwork orientation
