Contract | 13-Week Assignment with Possible Extension | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | Every Other Weekend | Holiday Rotation Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU (CPU) setting with intermediate to advanced monitoring
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of routine patient assessment
- Perform IV starts and manage IV therapy as required by patient care needs
- Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
- Adhere to unit protocols, dress code (Royal Blue scrubs required, not provided), and facility compliance requirements including up to 8 hours of pre-start non-billable modules completed via HealthStream
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (if license is pending, proof that the process is underway is required for consideration)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 3+ years of recent Stepdown/PCU experience
- Proficiency in telemetry and IV starts
- Minimal to no requested time off (RTO); any RTO must be disclosed at time of submission — especially around holidays
- Candidates residing within 31–50 miles of the facility may be accepted at a local rate; candidates residing less than 30 miles from the facility are not eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
