    RN - Intermediate Care Night Shift

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Medical Intermediate Care Unit serving both medical-telemetry and step-down patients
    • Manage a patient population presenting with conditions including PNA, COPD exacerbation, DKA, HHS, ETOH withdrawal, GIB, Sepsis, PE, UTI, and respiratory failure
    • Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, tracheostomies, BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and telemetry
    • Administer and manage cardiac drips in accordance with unit protocols
    • Maintain assigned patient ratios of 1:3 for intermediate care patients and 1:6 for medical-telemetry patients
    • Float to other units as needed and work across both sides of the floor (medical-telemetry and intermediate care)
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Current BLS certification
    • Hands-on experience with trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry
    • Ability to work night shift and float to other units as required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 1–2 years of experience in an intermediate care, step-down, or medical-telemetry setting
    • Familiarity with managing complex medical conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, and DKA
