    Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Intermediate Care Unit consisting of 42 beds, split between medical-telemetry and intermediate care step-down patients
    • Manage patient ratios of 1:3 on the intermediate care side and 1:6 on the medical-telemetry side
    • Care for patients presenting with conditions including PNA, COPD exacerbation, DKA, HHS, ETOH withdrawal, GIB, sepsis, PE, UTI, and respiratory failure
    • Operate and monitor equipment including trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and telemetry
    • Administer and manage cardiac drips and respond to changes in patient condition appropriately
    • Float to other units as needed and work across both the medical-telemetry and intermediate care sides of the floor
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Massachusetts
    • Current ACLS certification
    • Current BLS certification
    • Demonstrated experience with trachs, vents, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, cardiac drips, and telemetry monitoring
    • Ability to work across both medical-telemetry and intermediate care patient populations
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 1–2 years of experience in an intermediate care, step-down, or PCU setting
    • Prior experience managing a diverse acute patient caseload including sepsis, respiratory failure, and metabolic emergencies
