Key Responsibilities
Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Deliver direct patient care to progressive care and stepdown-level patients requiring close monitoring and intervention.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to coordinate and implement individualized patient care plans.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using EPIC EMR.
Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of stepdown or progressive care unit experience required.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association required.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
Comfort and flexibility with floating to the Emergency Department as needed.
