    Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36-hour weekly guarantee with up to 3 cancellations | Every other weekend required (Fri & Sat nights)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Telemetry unit with 6 PCU-capable private rooms, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 (Tele) and 1:3 (PCU/Stepdown)
    • Monitor and validate telemetry interpretations using Philips monitoring systems, documenting every 4 hours or more frequently as clinically indicated
    • Administer and manage IV drip medications including Cardizem, amiodarone, Bumex, Lasix, Integrilin, octreotide, and Protonix
    • Care for patients with common diagnoses including AMI, Stroke/TIA, pneumonia, renal/dialysis, AFib with RVR, SIRS, and diabetes mellitus
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, charge nurses, HUCs, tele techs, and PCTs available 24/7
    • Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Telemetry setting
    • Experience in a MedSurg acute care setting
    • Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend per unit requirements
    • Competency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation validation, and IV drip medication administration
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 3 or more years of Telemetry or PCU/Stepdown nursing experience
    • Prior experience with PCU-level patients including high-flow oxygen management
    • Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
