    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Must commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Cardiac PCU setting managing diagnoses including myocardial infarction, primary arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and stroke patients with cardiac involvement
    • Care for pre- and post-operative open-heart surgery and vascular surgery patients, including sternal precautions and chest tube setup and management
    • Perform and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmia monitoring; manage radial band and groin access sites post-cath lab procedures
    • Administer blood and blood products; manage respiratory interventions including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, and trach care
    • Support specialized structural heart patients including VAD and TAVR; assist with epicardial pacer management and cardioversion/defibrillation
    • Float to like units as required; maintain flexibility with scheduling and assignment needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
    • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac PCU or telemetry setting, including surgical telemetry, open-heart surgery, and vascular surgery experience
    • Epic EMR experience is a hard-stop requirement
    • This unit does not accept first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
    • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) and TAVR patient management
    • LVAD and post-open-heart surgery care within the 24–28 hour post-op window
    • Strong IV skills and experience with NIH Stroke Scale assessment
