Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Weekend Nights (Friday & Saturday required; third shift on any other day of the week) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and ensuring safe delivery of care
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
- Anticipate and plan for patient care needs within an LTAC/Telemetry environment
Required Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- ACLS certification required – must be through the American Heart Association
- BLS certification required – must be through the American Heart Association
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- PCU / IMC / Stepdown or LTAC experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Telemetry monitoring experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in acute or long-term acute care settings
