Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Telemetry/PCU Cardiac Unit with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5
- Perform and document respiratory and cardiac assessments using telemetry monitoring and continuous pulse oximetry
- Administer blood transfusions, perform IV starts, and assist with midline/central line removals
- Care for high fall risk patient populations and apply appropriate safety protocols
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and ED Hold areas as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active RN licensure valid in the state of Texas
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Demonstrated telemetry experience
- Navy blue scrubs required per dress code
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH Stroke Prepared certification
- PALS certification
- Prior experience in ICU, Telemetry, or PCU settings
- Strong team-oriented, self-motivated, and engaged work style
