    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 48-hour weekly guarantee | 8, 10, or 13-week contracts available

    Key Responsibilities
    • Contribute professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team
    • Manage and monitor patients requiring progressive/stepdown-level care, including those with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, continuous bladder irrigations, drains, and central lines
    • Administer and titrate vasoactive and critical drip medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
    • Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and patient management
    • Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license in Illinois (required); Iowa license required or must be obtained upon offer
    • Minimum 2 years of previous stepdown or PCU experience
    • Demonstrated competency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines
    • Experience administering and titrating vasoactive drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, Argatroban)
    • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • Taxable home address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
    • Familiarity with EPIC EMR
    • Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center environment
